Our class finished our unit on three Native American groups (Pueblo, Powhatan, and Lakota-Sioux) with this learning menu. Students should choose at least one activity. My students especially enjoyed creating their own scenes of Native Americans' homes and regions. I gave them a pile of supplies (glue, scissors, tape, straws, paper, cups, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, paper clips) and told them to use what they know about each Native American groups' homes to think of a way to use the materials. They were very creative! The poems and stories were also great. I really recommend this as a summative assessment for your Native American unit.
