Native American Homes Flip Book (and modified one)
This is a hands-on, cut and glue activity.It includes:
A 11 page flip book has information about 10 different Native American Homes with a graphic to go with each one.
The teacher makes a copy of each page and staples it at the top for each student. The student then cuts one page at a time so that it becomes a layered look flip book.
The teacher reads the information for each page while the student fills in blanks as it is read. The 11th page is fun facts about Native American Homes.
When this is completed, the students cut out the graphics and glue them onto the correct page.
There is also a modified version for special needs students. This one is 10 pages that are shorter, does not have blanks or fun facts page.
The page with graphics of the homes for the student to cut out have dotted lines for cutting. After cutting out the graphics, the student will glue them on the correct page.
There are two answer keys include for the teacher to put together (one regular and one modified) graphics included.
The homes included are: wigwam, tipi, longhouse, igloo, wattle and daub, chickee, earth lodge, wickiup, adobe, and hogan.
