This unit covers a week of 90 minute block classes. Figurative language, stereotyping, how to effectively read and comprehend a poem, collaborative creative writing, individual poetry writing, a R.A.F.T. activity, and totem pole design are some of the components of this unit. Students will enjoy the variety of activities and readings included here.
A quiz for "An Indian Father's Plea" is included in two versions with answer key. The final test has 20 questions and also comes in two versions with answer key. The quiz and final test are in the zip file as well in editable PowerPoint in case you wish to change anything.
