These worksheets include 5 nonfiction paragraphs about U.S. Native Americans written in different text structures. Students read each paragraph and identify the text structure being used. Each paragraph also includes a corresponding graphic organizer. This a great way to connect your social studies lesson with your language arts instruction!
The first worksheet includes all the examples on one page. The rest of the worksheets have the same examples with one example per page and give a place for the students to fill out graphic organizers. Works great for guided reading, whole class instruction, or homework. This packet has made my students think about text structure while also leading to good conversation about Native Americans.
Text structures included are: Compare and Contrast, Problem and Solution, Descriptive, Sequencing, and Cause and Effect.
An answer key is provided.
