PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This PowerPoint will serve as an excellent intro and guide for a research project. Through research, the students will learn about the different types of environments that early Americans lived in and how each environment influenced the way they lived.

The first slides contain background building questions and info for you to have a classroom discussion. I also do a “picture walk” through my social studies book during this time. A picture walk is where you guide students to simply flip through the pages, guided by you, as you point out key illustrations, headings, etc.

After that, there is a slide explaining the various ways to research. Next, each section of the project is explains. There is even a handy, dandy slide that can be printed out that shows the entire project and its requirements all on one page! Feel free to print that and give it to the students to help keep them on track.

A rubric is also included to show the students how they will be graded so that they can strive to do their best work!

After you teacher early people, you may want to check out my social studies section of my store for more fun!
