Native Americans and Horses (and modified one)
This is a reading, reading comprehension, horse mazes, bookmarks to color and a horse drawing activity.
Page 1: What’s included?
Pages 2-3: Copy page 2 on bright colored paper or print in color (and laminate). Make one per student. You can file these and use them over and over. Page 3 is a MODIFIED version in case you have a student struggling in reading or in special education. The words that fit the blanks on the next page are underlined. It has an M in the upper right hand corner for you.
Page 4: Make one copy per student. Students will use pages 2/3 (labeled as page 1 on the handout) to complete the sentences on page 4.
Page 5: Answer Key
Pages 6-7: Additional modified version for your lowest students. It is a cut and glue activity that is color coded.
Page 8: Answer key
Pages 9, 10: Make several copies to show the students how to draw a horse. Give students a blank sheet of paper, too.
Pages 11, 12: Horse Mazes for students to do. You can let students choose which one to do or let them do both.
Pages 13, 14: Bookmarks for students to color.
