Product Description
I used this activity in my 6th grade world history course to help my students review all that they had learned about the following cultures:

Mayan
Aztec
Inca
Anasaszi (Pueblo)
Adena
Hopewell
and Mississippian cultures.

This project requires that students research the following for each culture:

location
type of land
religion
government
social structure
economy
and achievements

This can be summative, or, if you are looking to make this lesson entirely student-centered, it can be used in that manner, also.

This product includes:

a template for the project,
detailed, guided directions for students
a rubric
helpful links
examples of my past students' work

I used this as a small group project and printed the assignment. It served as a great project to hang up to display student work!

Don't forget to check out the preview file to see if this is something that would work for your students!
