What happens as our earths features change over time? What happens when the ground shakes? Why do tornados spin? What exactly comes out of a volcano?
These are all questions (and then some) that will be answered during this fun and interactive lesson on Natural Disasters. This lesson goes hand and hand with the Natural Disaster Smart Notebook file. It also goes with the Natural Disaster Worksheet file. This lesson is perfect for getting all students involved in a fun and engaging science lesson that can span for as little as three days to a week. The students can have fun constructing and naming their own volcano and watching a tornado twist and turn right before their eyes! They will even have the chance to experience an earthquake. The lesson will guide you step by step with suggested prompts while you teach your lesson. I found that my students really enjoyed this lesson and wanted to repeat it as many times as they could (that is until we ran out of baking soda and vinegar!)
