This project requires students to research a type of natural disaster (e.g. Earthquakes) and then analyse the impact of a specific event (e.g. The 1906 San Francisco Earthquake).
The project breaks down into four major questions:
1. Briefly explain what causes your type of natural disaster (e.g. what causes an earthquake to happen?)
2. Explain what happened on the day of the natural disaster you are researching.
3. What was the response to the natural disaster?
4. What was the long term impact of the natural disaster?
This PowerPoint presentation helps to unpack each of the above questions so that your students will fully understands the task. The presentation can be printed off and used as an assignment booklet.
