Explore tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes with these fun, hands-on experiments and explorations! Each experiment is designed to fit into your students' science notebooks, but can also be used as stand-alone experiments.
Each experiment also walks your students through the Scientific Method with a 2-page recording sheet that lists the question, the materials, and the procedure, and asks your students to make a hypothesis and record the results and their conclusion.
• Tornado in a Jar
• Eye of a Hurricane
These experiments and explorations use as many household items as possible. You will need things like a glass jar, a plastic bowl, dish soap, black pepper, olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, toothpicks, mini marshmallows, and gelatin.
