Bundle Description
This bundle includes 5 activities covering the Types of Natural Selection, examples, a power point with video clips, teacher and student foldable, a coloring book, and a laboratory. Day One: First, I would start off by introducing Natural Selection using the power point and showing the video clips. This power point discusses Natural Selection and the types of distribution graphs which are formed based on Natural Selection. Also, sexual selection and artificial selection are discussed. I would have the students discuss what they have learned from the video using there notes and summarizing in groups using "Talk Moves". Day Two: Students should complete the foldable which is based on their notes from the previous day. Day Three: There is a nice mini coloring book which the students can cut out, color and staple together. Finally, on day four I would conduct the Goldfish Natural Selection "hands on" lab. Day Five: would be an assessment. I would go to the computer lab and find an interactive Natural Selection activity and grade them according to this. All in all it will be a very active week for our students. Mine seem to have enjoyed this, especially the lab, last week.
