The Natural Selection, Evolution, and Speciation PowerPoint includes 36 slides to present the case to support Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection. First, students will meet Charles Darwin and see how peppered moths and finches provide evidence that supports natural selection. Then, they will look at the five major factors that lead to population changes. These factors include mutation, gene flow, nonrandom mating, genetic drift, and natural selection. Lastly, they will explore the major causes leading to speciation. Darwin's theory was revolutionary and this topic sparked wonderful discussions in my classroom.
