This is a FUN, HANDS-ON activity that is perfect for exposing children to the great outdoors! In this scavenger hunt, children will learn about animal adaptions, human impact on the environment and ecosystems, plants, predator - prey relationships, and erosion. The scavenger hunt comes with an activity to do before the scavenger hunt, and 2 reflective worksheets to do after the scavenger hunt.
I envision this activity being done in groups, having the students take or draw pictures of what they find, and coming back to the classroom to make posters of the different concepts and terms that they learned. Of course, this could be done a number of different ways.
This is perfect for a spring activity with a bunch of spunky children, and would also be perfect in a summer camp or summer school environment. I could see this activity being laminated to be used for many years to come.
