Looking for a way to monitor noise levels in your classroom? This is a simple, but effective way to teach your students the different levels of communication to use throughout the day.
In my own classroom, I attach one of the arrows (included in this file) to a clothespin and set the voice level expectation at the begin of each activity. We also practice the different voice levels several times at the beginning of the year, and review as needed.
I have included an editable version of this chart, but here are the voice levels I have set on the ready made version:
0- Silent Work
1- Whisper Voice
2- Partner Voice
3- Group Voice
4- Teacher Voice (Students who are presenting in front of the class also use this voice level)
5- Outside Voice
*I always greatly appreciate your feedback, as it helps me improve the quality of my resources!*
