The following negation speech and language worksheets are included:

Negation Challenge A (total worksheets: 7)

Each Negation Challenge A worksheet contains 4 “Choose It” questions (example: Which word isn’t a holiday?” + field of 4 answer choices) and 3 “Change It” questions (student is given a written sentence and must insert a negative word or negative phrase in order to change the meaning of the original sentence)

Negation Challenge B (total worksheets: 4)

Each Negation Challenge B worksheet contains 4 “Make It” sentences containing negative words or phrases (the student re-arranges words or groups of words in order to form two grammatically correct sentences containing negatives) and a “Spin It” activity (student spins spinner and lands on a picture scene; uses this along with negation word choices to form grammatically correct sentence containing negatives)

Negation Challenge C (total worksheets: 6)

Each Negation Challenge C worksheet contains 3 “Contrasting” word pairs (student explains how two items/ topics are different using negatives-i.e. “A pen isn’t made of wood”, when contrasting a pen and pencil) and 1 “Its Up for Debate” (student given a debate topic and must write two complete sentences containing negative words/ phrases to explain his/ her side of the debate)

Negation Challenge D (total worksheets: 4) + (1) Writing Page

Each Negation Challenge D worksheet contains 4 “Read It” comprehension questions (student reads text message conversation then answers questions focused on negation) and (5) “Recall It” sentences (SLP/ teacher reads a sentence containing negative words or phrases aloud, and the student recalls the sentence without changing the sentence structure or meaning. Also includes (1) writing page which allows student to write answers out to comprehension questions.
