I can’t! I won’t! I don’t want to!
Our students use negative contractions all the time. But they don’t always know how to use the min writing. Well here’s a great way to give them support and practice identifying, forming, and using negative contractions in context.
You’ll get a 36 piece puzzle (13 individual contractions) that makes a great center or early finisher activity for the whole year. Just print, laminate, and cut!
You’ll also get an 2 versions of an “anchor chart” explaining negative contractions and giving students initial practice with forming contractions.
You can pick from 7 differentiated worksheets to use with students for whole group instruction, remediation, and assessments. Tasks include matching contractions, forming contractions, using contractions in a sentence, and thinking critically about the meaning of different contractions. Of course, each comes with an answer key!
