Use the clue cards to calculate the missing numbers in the grid.

Example clues:
The number in the top right is half of - 14;
The number in the top left is -3 + -6;
The number in the top right is 5 less than the number in the bottom right;

There are three worksheets in this pack:
Level 1: Simple shifts on the number line, such as 3 - 10;
Level 2: Includes all types of calculation, such as -3 - - 4;
Level 3: A larger, 4 by 4 grid, with a mixture of negative number calculations.

As an extension, students could make up their own mystery activity on negative numbers

This activity is good for homework as it is easy to check students have answered all the questions correctly at a glance.
