Product Description
This domino activity covers the concept of simplifying expressions involving negative and zero exponents. Each student or group (based on teacher discretion) gets a set of dominoes. Students need to find the one that says start and work that problem. Then, they have to match the problem with the correct answer. That “answer” domino contains the next problem, which then matches with its answer. Each student/group will eventually have a string of dominoes in the correct order. The teacher will need to make a set of dominoes for each student/group by cutting on the solid lines only. There should be two blocks on each domino. There are a total of 30 dominoes in all. I copy my domino sheets on color paper and laminate them before I cut them out. To check that students have completed the activity successfully, the teacher uses the original copy to see that it all matches correctly.
