A great way for students to work on number sequencing.
Using a dice, (or more if you need to up the level), write number in middle house. Then have students figure out what neighbors that the number has - what comes before and after? Just like houses on a street, the numbers will correspond in sequence.
To extend activity level, have the students fill in the +1 or -1 number sentence.
This works on key kindergarten skills, especially pairing with the Missing Number component on the AimsWeb TEN assessment.
