Warriner’s “Nemo” Narrative Story Unit is a creative writing unit that helps increase your students’ story-writing skills.
Students write a short story with the characters from Pixar Films’ “Saving Nemo” animated movie. They enjoy watching the movie and identifying examples of literary terms.
They go through the writing process of brainstorming, webbing, outlining, writing the rough draft, editing and revising, and then presenting their stories to the class. Students enjoy listening and grading each other’s stories with the provided student rubrics.
The lesson plans, short story, and activities in this unit are completely classroom tested. I created and developed them in order to teach English/Language Arts to middle school students. This unit helps improve the content and style of your students’ writing.
Students never stop loving “Nemo”!
