Product Description
The decline of the Roman Empire was marked by the excesses and abuses of a number of "Bad Emperors." A Common Core approach to Rome where the students carefully read Suetonius The Twelve Caesars or Lives of the Later Caesars and write concisely in an interview format as to its events and historical significance. While the "Good Emperors" were able to hold Rome together for a number of centuries, the "Bad Emperors" demonstrated the danger of power unchecked, a lesson well-learned by the writers of the United States Constitution.
