This Assessment asks questions about myelin and neurons and how they are like the wires of the brain. It also requires the students to label the diagram or neurons. The test also covers the parts of the brain and generally what their functions are. The assessment uses a variety of methods for which students can answer: Complete Sentences, Short Answer, Multiple choice, Diagrams, and matching.
Reviews are a great way to integrate learning and FUN! I've used these games in the past:
- basketball review (if you get the question correct your team gets a chance to shoot)
- Connect 4 (if you answer the question correctly your team gets to place a sticky note on the graph - usually 5 x6 depending on how many teams you have - and the goal is to connect 4 before any of the other teams)
- Grudge Ball (each team is given 10 x's on the board. Once a team answers correctly they get a chance to shoot, if they make it they may erase 2 x's from the board, if they miss they may only erase 1 x. The team with the most x's at the end of the game wins. If a team looses all 10 x's they have to make a shoot in order to gain 2 x's to be back in the game)
