My students LOVE these activities that involve "brain breaks." This activity is designed to have the students work in pairs, although they could also work individually if you'd like.
I came up with this idea for my kids who need the motivation to get through a couple problems, feel good about their work, then have a break. Turns out, ALL of my students loved the "Math Brain Break Activities!" Every two problems, there is a small but fun "brain break." It pushes students to complete problems one step at a time and then they get a small reward for working hard! The rewards range from coming to see me for a piece of school cash or candy, to playing rock paper scissors, to complimenting a classmate.
ALSO - I have included the same problems, without the brain breaks! This can be used for individual practice or homework! Both resources are the same but one is in the form of an “Activity,” with the brain breaks; the other is “Practice,” without the brain breaks.
↳ Partner Activity - 10 problems
↳ Individual Practice or Homework - 10 problems
↳ Both resources have space provided for students to show work!
↳ Identifying a 3D figure from a given net
↳ Surface Area of a Net

Did you know there’s a way to earn TPT credit towards future purchases?
To be honest, I didn’t know about this until after about TWO YEARS on TPT! You can imagine how much credit I had saved up that I didn’t even know about!
After purchasing a resource, make sure you leave feedback and a rating! Doing so adds to your “TPT Credit Balance.” You can find this under your account once you have logged in. Not only does it benefit you, but it helps me determine which resources are loved by teachers and what else I can create!
