Additional Ideas

During of after completing this study, have students make a collection of photos (copies of photos are fine) from a celebration in their culture of origin or as a Canadian citizen. Invite students to include photos of giving, feasting, dancing, music making or game playing. Students who play a musical instrument may be invited to play for the class. Perhaps students have other talents in the arts they can share. Make a collage of personal photos. Add headings, words or phrases to the collage. Have students share their collages with the class or make a large bulletin board collage.
