This activity covers FDR's New Deal Programs and Acts. This is four activities in one. First, there is the 3 "R's" Activity. Students will analyze whether a New Deal Act or Program is: Relief, Recovery or Reform. After finishing and discussing, students have a complete study guide that covers the New Deal Programs. Activity # 2 is a New Deal Act and Program ID Quiz using the same format as the 3 "R's" Activity---students will identify the Act or Program, and fill in the blank. Activity # 3 is a New Deal Acts Program Multiple Choice Quiz (with key). Activity # 4 is a New Deal Acronym Quiz (with key). All this Activities reinforce the New Deal Era, and purpose for each agency. Activity #4 is an excellent re-teaching tool, for students who aren't grasping the concept. This is most effective if used over a three or four day period to reinforce the concept. This is a stand alone lesson; a book isn't necessary. Perfect supplement to teaching the New Deal! When your students are finished with this activity, they will understand the New Deal!
