To help tie the New Deal, the Great Depression, and actions from the 1920s all together, students made a New Deal pamphlet convincing the American people to accept three RRR programs.
"Any good plan, needs good advertisement. Today you are going to sell FDR’s New Deal to the American people in the form of a pamphlet. You will need to choose three of FDR’s New Deal programs; one for Relief, one for Recovery, and a final one for Reform.
For each program that you choose you will need to discuss in full sentences:
• What the problem was in the 1920s that helped to lead to the crash of the stock market
• What happened during the Great Depression as a result of this problem, and
• How this New Deal program will help to fix to it
• Include one image illustrating the program
Remember to keep the perspective of a salesman in your writing, to convince the American people to accept these relief programs!"
Included is the student project page, a planning page for students, and rubrics for you grade with. All have been uploaded as Word documents so that you can edit them.
