Engage your students in American History & Government while practicing important thinking and reasoning skills!
In this stations activity, students will investigate New Deal programs including TVA, Social Security, WPA, NRA, and the role of government in regulating the economy. They will read and analyze both primary and secondary sources. While learning new content students will also practice evaluating arguments, writing creatively, interpreting political cartoons, and more!
Make a class set of each station handout and a copy of the answer sheets for each student. Have students work on each station for a designated amount of time and then rotate. Alternatively, let students choose 4 out of 5 stations and work independently at their own pace.
