Students used this foldable to take notes on the Growth of the Colonies. If you would like the WHO, WHAT, WHERE prompts on the inside of the foldable, simply print double sided. Once you print, cut around the perimeter, fold in half, and make two cuts to create flaps for the New England, Middle, and Southern Colonies.
We read about the colonies together and then I asked students to write WHO founded the colonies, WHAT products were produced there, and the states included in each next to WHERE. They then shared their answers aloud.
My students enjoy making and using foldables to take notes and they are able to use them to study by thinking about the topic and then opening the flap to self-check. We used this foldable as part of a lapbook about the colonies. I'll be happy to email a picture of it to give you ideas (email@example.com)!!
