Note taking is an important skill to have. It is also a difficult one, especially if the text is hard or long.
For the unit "Everyday Life in New France," I have created this graphic organizer to help my students take notes and focus on the important information.
The graphic organizer is created on a 11 x 17 paper to help students have all of their information on one page. If printed double sided, the second page actually becomes the first page when folded.
Also, I have included a colored and black and white version of the graphic organizer depending on your preference.
Where do students find the information?
For this unit, I have my students read the chapters in their History textbook. I also provide extra readings for those who don't understand and need more information and those who are eager learners.
