So many New Mexican cities have Spanish names!
I designed this product so that students in NM or students of Spanish can learn the translations of many of the cities and towns in New Mexico.
This worksheet could be used in a Spanish class or History/Geography Class. It is fairly self-explanatory, so it could easily be left as a packet for a substitute to use as sub plans or emergency sub plans. Students may want to use a Spanish dictionary or a translating website as a reference. Ideal for Spanish 2 and up, but Spanish 1 could complete translations with knowledge of how to use resources such as Spanish/English dictionaries or online dictionaries.
Exercises are to match Spanish place names to English translations. Then there is a map to mark city locations and a puzzle page with a word search and words to unscramble. There are also some expansion questions for fast finishers!
-2 pages of Matching Exercises Worksheet
-1 page blank map of NM to mark cities
-1 page word search with cities and 5 unscramble questions
-2 pages of Answer Key (does NOT include answer key for map or word search)
-1 page of directions for a substitute
*Please note I am also selling a different 2-page version of this product without the large map (it has a small map) and no word search! I also have a similar product for Texas, California, and other US states in the works, as well as a bundle.*
