Students love it when you notice what they are doing well. It is especially important to notice the positive behaviors of students who have been struggling in your class in various ways. It can be too easy to give up on the student that never has his/her homework or rarely seems to be focused in class. The quicker we can catch them doing "things" right and offer positive feedback, the greater the chance they may repeat these positive behaviors.
All students want to feel important and succeed in school - even the ones who seem to care less. These positive feedback cards and designed to help teachers offer specific feedback to students in a meaningful way.
Simply print this page of 15 different cards with different kinds of positive feedback and make a few copies for yourself. Distribute appropriate comment cards to deserving students at the end of the class period or school day. Maybe sign the back of the card and write the date.
Enjoy using these cards! I hope you and your students like them.
