Students will start the New Year of 2020 with a fabulous challenge to encourage their personal growth! The goal of the 2020 CHALLENGE is for students to choose something to enrich their lives, something they want to get better at, or something they’ve always wanted to learn, and spend 20 minutes a day for the first 20 days of the 2020 school year learning or practicing that skill... and perhaps they'll end up wanting to continue the challenge!
Students will brainstorm skills they would like to develop, make a plan for their 2020 Challenge, determine supplies needed, track their progress through the challenge, and reflect on their learning and finally, celebrate their successes. The perfect way to start the year on the right foot!
STUDENT CHALLENGE IDEAS:
The ideas are endless! Include your school's supplementary materials as options or delete options as you see fit. This is a completely flexible challenge to meet the needs of the students in your class.
Although the challenge sheets are set up in sets of five days, you may have days off from school or students that are absent (actually, this is extremely likely). I recommend that you set this up as 20 school days, not necessarily the first 4 weeks. Students who are absent might finish on a later date, and that is OKAY!
