There are a variety of ways to use this product. I’ve differentiated the templates to fit needs of K and up. Students can use the picture frame graphic organizer provided to jot down one or a few goals they have for the New Year. They can then either use the craftivity/balloon template to write their final copy, or the lined writing paper that is also included. If they use the balloons, they can create the craft/bulletin board display. They have to color and cut out the boy or the girl. Take a piece of yarn or any material to act like the string of the balloon. Attach one end of the yarn to the girl or boy’s hand, and the other to the balloon. Title a bulletin board, “Fly into the New Year,” or “Soar into the New Year.” You can simply attach the written portion of the balloon to the yarn OR you can add the cover page (My Goals for the New Year title) to the balloon and the writing part underneath. For younger students, there are options to write about one goal only.
