Happy New Year! I made these little flip books as a fun little welcome back for students to do this year after Winter Break. I really wanted something that was quick (so we can get back to curriculum), meaningful and will look great on a bulletin board (so I can put up something the first day we are back). There are 4 different covers which will give students a choice and spice up a bulletin board. Best yet….this file will be updated YEARLY! Just re-download from "My Purchases" page each year for the updated file.
Students are asked to:
Page 1 - Choose and color a cover page. There are 4 options.
Page 2 - Tell about the best thing that happened to them during the year, the best thing they read, the funniest thing that happened and the thing that they are most proud of.
Page 3 - Set a goal for the year and outline a short plan.
Page 4 - Write an acrostic poem (NEW YEAR)
I recommend coloring the cover page before cutting it out and assembling the activity pages.
To assemble the booklets, just line up the top of the 3 activity pages and place the cover page on top.
You will notice short lines on the cover page, line these up with the top of the activity pages and staple together.
**If you would like to have students write more than one resolution, simply copy additional page 3’s and put them behind each other before stapling.**
This book uses only 8.5 by 11 paper and you will need two sheets of paper per student.
Happy New Year!
