This Activity will help your students start the New Year out right with academic New Year's Resolutions. Help your students take ownership of their own learning and involve parents,too! Review what it means to set achievable, measurable goals. Students will complete a whole group brainstorming activity with the included graphic organizer to review their academic progress in the first semester, identify strategies to improve their progress, and set reading and math goals for the second semester. Everything is done for you and included in the packet: Complete Directions, Smart Goals Compact Poster, Smart Goals Compact, Brainstorming Graphic Organizer, Sample Parent Letter and Bookmark Reminders. Students will place the compact in a binder or folder to revisit periodically. Full directions and a sample parent letter are also included to make 10 pages in all including Word and PDF documents. Word documents may be edited to meet your needs. A sample parent letter is provided to get parents on board with student achievement.
