Here's a bit of New Year's resolutions with a twist! Using this resource, you can introduce students to context clues, discuss different types of context clues, and then have students create their own New Year's resolutions, but there's a catch! Students must write each resolution using a nonsense word and support the meaning of that work with context clues. Your students will love creating silly words, and you will love that they are challenged in their creation of each resolution because this will really get them thinking about context clues and connect this important skill to their own resolutions. What a great way to kick off the new year!

This includes:

- 1 context clues information page

- 2 types of context clues pages with examples

- 2 assignment pages with examples

- 1 page for their final draft of their resolutions - great for a bulletin board display!

*I will be updating this product each year so that you will always have the correct year on the final page!
