My kids need lots of practice working with ten frames and double ten frames ~ and they want to play lots of games. This New Year's Ten Frame Bingo game meets their needs and mine!
Supports the following Common Core Standards:
CCSS.Math.Content.K.NBT.A.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 - 19 into ten ones and some additional ones.
CCSS.Math.Content.1.NBT.B.2 Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones.
Included in this purchase are 30 Double Ten Frame Bingo cards, 2 types of calling cards and a ten frame poster for each number on the Bingo cards. Print as many or as few cards as you would like.
Here's the breakdown of pages:
Page 1: Cover
Page 2: Product Information and Ideas
Pages 3-10 Various forms of calling cards
Pages 11 - 40: Bingo cards
Pages 41 - 61: Double ten frame posters
The “teacher” calls a number and students use chips/markers to cover the numbers as they are called. If time is running out, call “Free Choice” until someone gets Bingo.
If you have plenty of time, play Cardo. Kids keep playing until they fill their entire card. When one number is left, walk around and see if kids have the correct number still uncovered. (This is a great quick assessment!)
New Year's Ten Frame Bingo works well as a whole group game. I also use this game with intervention groups. With my small intervention groups, I have kids build the number I call on ten frames prior to finding it on their card.
When playing with a whole group, I show the ten frame poster for the number called and we count chorally as needed.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. :) Anne
