Of course, we all hate to teach to the test. These activities and anchor charts don't necessarily do that. Instead, they simply help you to teach the skills that are needed for good analysis, good reading and good writing. This bundle is made up of activities and anchor charts that I use with my English 11 students throughout the year to prepare them for the skills required on the NYS English Regents. These skills are Common Core aligned, so they are not just for students in New York.

    For Writing, this bundle includes:

Parts of an Argument Essay Anchor Charts

Put a DENT in your Intros (a mnemonic device for introductions)

    The War Prayer for Argument

For Reading and Analysis, this bundle includes:

Finding Central Idea Using the Poetry of Robert Frost

The Last Leaf & The Faith Cure Man Central Idea Development

Analyzing an Argument Graphic Organizer (free)

    Central Idea Cloud Graphic Organizer

The War Prayer for Argument (same resource as above)

Please Note: Finding Central Idea Using the Poetry of Robert Frost, Central Idea Cloud Graphic Organizer and The Last Leaf & The Faith Cure Man Central Idea Development are both included in The Central Idea Bundle.

Parts of an Argument Essay Anchor Charts, Put a DENT in your Intros, Analyzing an Argument and The War Prayer for Argument are in the Teaching Argument Bundle.

Together, these two bundles are the main parts of the Regents Bundle.

This is a growing bundle. As products related to preparing for the New York State Regents are added to my shop, they will be added to this bundle at no additional expense to you. However, the price will go up as products are added, so get in early.
