Students are issued with a News Article that discuss how young poor children are forced to work in appalling, dangerous and illegal conditions to make footballs for the Australian market.
Students read through the article and complete a series of activities in groups, discussion of a given scenario's , approaches to the problems of poverty presented.
Students to view clips of speeches about fighting poverty - links provided.
Individually students to compose a 2 minute speech to be presented on Indian TV on what they would do to improve the life of these children. They need to propose some solutions to the problems.
