News Writing Story Planning Handout Pre-Interview: Students can organize their thoughts and prepare questions for any news story. Includes a list of helpful questions, going beyond the who, what, where, when, why, and how.

This is a companion tool to use with Expository Writing "How-To" Presentation and Exercises. Use this file as students are assigned topics for writing. After they have performed interviews, teach students how to take their notes and turn them into a story using the presentation and activities.
