This project has three parts:
- Engineering Design challenge: Design and construct a self-propelled car that will be used to examine how forces are used to move objects.
- Experiment with Lab Report: Plan an investigation using the car you have designed in PART 1 in order to study how the motion is affected by sum of the forces on the car or by its mass.
- Written Assessment: Evaluate two different Newton’s cars by using the diagrams of their designs and the measurements obtained during an experiment.
This project is to be used with the NGSS standards (Physical Science and Engineering Design). It has clear and detailed instructions, assessments and rubrics.
