Product Description
In this activity, students explore Newton's first law using affordable and easy to find materials.

What you need:
Bag of pennies per partner or group (around 15-20 pennies per group is fine)
1 small beaker* (or cup)
2 index cards/ group
1 hot wheels or other small toy car

*(Size of beaker doesn't really matter, but I have found the smaller beakers make it easier for the students to visualize the concept)

I have both provided the pennies myself and had students bring in the pennies to use for the lab in the past.
