Newton's Law of Motion Stations are differentiated and a great way to either teach new concepts or review with students. Students will be actively engaged in seven hands-on activities that demonstrate Newton's Laws. A data sheet is included so students can write down their ideas and responses as they move through the stations.
NGSS: MS-PS2-1 - Apply Newton’s Third Law to design a solution to a problem involving the motion of two colliding objects.
NGSS: MS-PS2-2 - Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object.
Required materials include: text books, calculators, ramps, cars, meter stick, ruler, washers, empty water bottles, dollar bill, film canisters, Alka Seltzer tablets, marbles, plastic containers, happy-sad balls, sit-on scooters.
