Newton’s Laws of Motion is a difficult concept for some students to grasp. The activities included in this packet are intended to enhance students understanding of the Three Laws of Motion. After learning about Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion, students will complete the foldable activity that requires them to define and provide examples of each of Newton’s Laws (sample key included).
After completing the foldable activity, students can begin rotating through the science center and completing the center activity. There are two versions of the center activity. You can choose to use the mats with the colored illustrated cards or the black and white cut and paste activity. If you choose to use the mats and colored illustrated cards, students will be provided with a recording ½ sheet to glue into their interactive notebook. If you choose to use the cut and paste, students will be able to trifold their answer sheet and clue it into their journal. Answer keys are provided for both versions. (Please note that only ONE SET of cards is provided in different formats.)
A sign-in sheet is also provided to keep track of the students who have rotated through the science activity center.
