This bundle offers a comprehensive overview of Newton's Laws of Motions. The bundle includes explorations of each Law of motion, including interactive digital activities, calculation practice and real-life application scenarios. Moreover, students will engage with high-interest labs and science stations to further apply their understanding of the laws. The bundle also has a quiz and quiz review to wrap up the unit, along with four homework assignments!
The bundle includes individual assignments which can be found at the following links:
Mass vs. Weight Mini-Lab
This hands-on lab explores the difference between mass and weight. The concepts are first introduced with a reading and then students figure out how much they would weigh on different planets! A great way to introduce a potentially confusing concept!
Newton's 1st Law of Motion Padlet Exploration (A and B versions!)
Introduce students to a familiar phenomenon of inertia through a Padlet exploration. A link to the Padlet is included in the document and will demonstrate how inertia works through a variety of videos, animations and pictures. Two differentiated versions are included to meet your students at their level!
Newton's 2nd Law of Motion Agar.io Lab
Do your students love playing Agar.io? In this activity, they get to play Agar.io and figure out how Newton's 2nd Law of Motion works! A really fun, high-interest and effective way to understand Newton's 2nd Law of Motion.
Newton's 3rd Law Padlet Exploration
Similar to the Newton's 1st Law Padlet Exploration, students will explore the 3rd Law of Motion through videos, animations and photos, allowing them to apply their knowledge in both familiar and unfamiliar situations.
Newton's Laws of Motion Station Activity
Review all of Newton's Laws through six stations that are easy to set up and fun to do. Items needed for the stations are common household items and allow students to really get involved in these phenomenons.
Newton's Laws of Motion Quiz ReviewNewton's Laws of Motion Quiz
Test students' understanding of Newton's Laws though a quiz. Students will need to know key vocabulary, be able to explain different concepts, such as intertia and action-reaction pairs and finally, apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations. The quiz review prepares students for the material on the quiz and can be a fun review game or individual work.
Newton's Laws of Motion Homework Bundle
Bolster student understanding of Newton's Laws through a bundle within a bundle of four homework assignments. To be used in conjunction with in-class activities, students must further demonstrate their understanding in this assignments.
