2 Number Lines (Page 3)
80 Task Cards with Prices up to 20 Dollars (Pages 4-23).
Step 1: Print Task Cards (Pages 4-23) – I would recommend printing on a quality cardstock as you may want to use these repetitiously.
Step 2: Laminate Task Cards (Optional but HIGHLY recommended!).
Step 3: Cut out Task Cards along dotted lines.
Step 4: PLAY!
How to Play:
Mix Money Cards up. Have student randomly pick a price from the Money Cards. Student will then round price up to the nearest whole dollar. For example, a price of $5.75 rounds up to $6. Students will then indicate the appropriate next bill (5, 10, or 20) on task card. This can also be modified into a sorting activity. Number lines can be used to aide students in selecting the appropriate bill to use.
