This quarterly worksheet is meant to provide students with a snapshot of their progress in meeting the Common Core RIT (Reading Informational Text) standards. The worksheet assumes you are providing 3 assessments (A, B, C) per standard, but you may draw in boxes or leave one blank for fewer assessments. As students take tests, they check off one of the boxes based on their performance (or your feedback) indicating that they are either in remediation for a standard, meeting the standard, or nearly meeting a standard. They can then be provided with a set of activities or worksheets differentiated for their level. Keeping the checklist in front of their notebooks or someplace visible will motivate students to advance to the next level. However, the checklist can also be maintained by the teacher.
