These are "guiding questions" for Ch. 1-3 and the "Evaluation" chapter of Barbara Ehrenreich's novel "Nickel and Dimed". Think of this as a step up from the traditional study guide. Instead of recall and knowledge questions, these go higher on Bloom's taxonomy and make students not only think about the message Barbara is trying to communicate but also how it all applies to their lives. I've used these questions twice now and they've worked very well.
