On the look for a bat book that's not Stellaluna (which all my 2nd graders have heard a dozen times) I have fallen in love with the little bat Chiro is Nightsong by Ari Burke. It is perfect for introducing echolocation with a literature flair.
I made this pack to go with the book, but most activities, minus a few character trait organizers, can be used with any bat book.
character trait organizers for each character
character change over time organizer
/CH/ (Ch and K sound) BINGO-have students fill in their own bingo board with the provided list. I use clear sleeves so we can play every morning without having to make more copies.

3 echolocation activities (partners, and 2 whole group demonstrations)
2 different writing prompts with varied templates
