This is a game designed as a review for standards in geometry.
The game is designed so that students can play independently and with little setup. Everything needed for play is included in the file. Print question cards two-sided so that the answer to the question, along with how many spaces the student can move, are printed on the back of the question. Students can play and check their answers as they go. No more dice rolling off the table or being thrown in the air!
The file includes the board, student directions, six printable playing pieces, and 63 double-sided playing cards. Cards focus on the following skills:
- Types of lines
- Types of angles
- Properties of plane shapes
- Naming and properties of 3D shapes
This is a review game designed to meet the following SOLs:
3.14 The student will identify, describe, compare, and contrast characteristics of plane and solid geometric figures (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, cube, rectangular prism, square pyramid, sphere, cone, and cylinder) by identifying relevant characteristics, including the number of angles, vertices, and edges, and the number and shape of faces, using concrete models.
3.15 The student will identify and draw representations of points, line segments, rays, angles, and lines.
3.16 The student will identify and describe congruent and noncongruent plane figures.
